No. 2 Isaiah Harris finishes 3rd at New Balance Outdoor Nationals in 800m

Lewiston senior Isaiah Harris capped off his record breaking and eye popping career with perhaps his best individual race of his career at the New Balance Outdoor Nationals as he won the section 1 in a Maine all-time best 1:49.63, smashing his own record of 1:51.47. Harris would remain in first place up until the final section, and his time placed him 3rd overall earning All-American honors in his first national meet.

The Penn State bound senior raced 19 800m in his high school career losing only 2 races, in those races he didn't win he finished second in both. The 1:49.63 effort at Nationals was the 4th fastest in New England history and is 3 seconds faster than anyone else in Maine history

Harris won Class A titles at 1600m, 800m, 200m & 4x400m this spring leading his team to the team title. At New England Championship, Isaiah repeated as the 800m champion, and set an all-time Maine best for 200m with his 21.82 that placed him fourth.
