MVC Preview Meet - Virtual Meet
In a preview of the MVC Championship meet to be held in October, the MVC Preview meet will take place today at the University of Maine at Augusta with the girls starting at 4:15, followed by the boys.
Individually on the boys side Nick Harriman of Lisbon is the early favorite, but he should be pushed by Luke Thombs of Monmouth Academy, and Kyle Ames of Boothbay, Harriman was the runner-up in this meet a year ago running 17:29, so no doubt he'll be aiming for the top spot and a faster time. Thombs was 4th a year ago, while Ames placed 5th.
On the girls side freshman Faith Blethen of Boothbay has made an immediate impact of the MVC, an enters the meets as one of the favorites along with teammate Hannah Morley. The St. Dominic duo of Ella Brown & Sydney Sirois also figure to be near the front. A year ago Morley was the runner-up with a 21:42 with Ella Brown finishing third.
