Sofie Matson (Falmouth HS, Maine)
Matson has burst onto the scene in a big way in Maine as a freshman this fall. She has been undefeated in the regular season & post-season posting the fastest time at the state meet regardless of class. She clocked 18:41.60 to win the Class A title two weeks ago on the tough Twin Brook course. Earlier this fall she ran 18:17.33 to win the Maine Festival of Champions at Belfast. She hasn't been pushed all season so Saturday will be interesting to see how she handles being in a pack something she hasn't done all season.
