Wells junior sprinter Chenille Eccleston won the 55m in a time of 7.88 seconds, and added a second victory over 200m as she stopped the clock at 29.19.

Greely distance ace Marin Provencher won the mile in a time of 5:35.51 and then doubled back in to take the 2 mile in 12:07.57. Her effort in the two mile is the second fastest in Class B this winter.

Faith Davis of Poland took the win in the shot put with a throw of 31-11 1/4

Wells sprinter Brian Niznick won the 400m dash in a strong effort of 53.58, the mark is a new Class B state leader. Niznick came back to win the 200m dash with his 24.79 winning effort.

Luke Marsanskis of Greely won the 2 mile with a time of 10:33.73, the mark is the second fastest in Class B.

Yarmouth pole vaulter Chris Koskinen cleared 12-3 to win the event, and move to second in Class B.

Elite Performances

Cape Elizabeth junior Darcy Cochran opened her season with a state leading 8.79 in the 55m hurdles.

York's Phoebe Slovenski set a new Class B leader in the pole vault with her 9-1 personal best.

The 200m race was a good one as York's Hayley Smith held off a strong challenge from Darcy Cochran. Smth's winning effort was 27.82 to 27.93 for Cochran. Smith currently ranks second in Class B, with Cochran third.

Tara Migliaccio of Freeport was the fastest over 400m as she clocked an excellent 63.33 to win. Her time is the second fastest in Class B this winter.

York's Jon Rodrigues was a triple winner as he won the long jump with a leap of 19-11 1/2, he also took the triple jump with a jump of 39-2 1/4. Rodrigues broke the 7 second barrier in the 55m dash with his winning effort of 6.99

Wildcat Nick Rainforth won the 400m dash in a time of 53.95 the second fastest time in Class B, he doubled back to win the one lap sprint in 24.64.
