There was plenty of top notch performances this weekend from the oval at the University of Maine. 

MDI's Marilyn Sawyer swept the short sprints winning the 55m in a time of 7.88, and then coming back to run 28.49 to win the 200m. She currently ranks 7th in Class B in the 200m.

The 800m run was the race of the night as Eliza Parker of Hampden Academy clocked a huge personal best 2:22.31 to hold off a strong challenge from Zoe Olson of MDI, 2:23.31. Parker's time moves her to second in Class A, and the state, while Olson's time is the Class B leader by over six seconds.

Lydia Gilmore of Bangor won the 2 mile with a speedy 11:49.06 effort, with her previous best she ranks 5th in Class A in the event. Also running strong on the distance side was Brewer's Olivia Mosca who won the mile in 5:32.82, and was runner-up in the 2 mile 12:22.16. Mosca currently ranks second in Class B in the mile.

In the hurdles Morgan Honey of Brewer ran a seasonal best 8.92 to improve on her Class B #2 ranking. She posted a huge leap in the triple jump of 34-11 to finish second, that mark moves her to the top of the Class B rankings.

MDI had a strong showing in the 4x800m as they won clocking 10:35.91 that mark moves them up to Class B #2.

Bangor's Alyssa Elliott the Class A leader in the long jump jumped 16-8 to win, then added a 35-4 mark to take the triple jump.

Defending Class A pole vault champion Sofia Wittmann won the event with a leap of 10-0.

On the boys side Hampden Academy's Wyatt Lord broke 2 minutes to win the 800m in a indoor personal best of 1:59.34. He would add a 10:12.51 effort to win the 2 mile as well.

Bangor's Andrew Munroe won a pair of races starting with a 8.53 victory in the 55m hurdles, he clocked 8.42 the preliminaries. He came back to run 23.92 in the 200m to edge out teammate Landyn Francis 23.98.

Mattanawcook Academy senior Cayden Spencer-Thompson swept the jumps with a leap of 22-1 1/4 to win the long, and a 47-5 effort to take the triple.

Jason Mathies  of Hampden Academy had a strong day on the distance side running a personal best 4:35.11 to win the mile to move up to 5th in Class A, he was runner-up in the 2 mile with 10:13.77.

Brewer's Sean Neal unleashed a 47-7 3/4 effort in the shot put to move to the top of Class B in the event.
