We
dug through the MileSplit database to see who has the best combined
cross country and 3200m time from the 2018-2019 school year. We ranked
them in order of the fastest combined times. We had the database pull
just the top 100 runners.
With the 2019 Cross Country season just about a month away, it's time to start looking at who could grab a state title.
The top nine athletes are all from Class A with two time defending champion Sofie Matson of Falmouth leading the way with the fastest time of 28:25.47, which is almost a minute faster than second fastest Kate Tugman of Gorham.
Erin Gerbi of Orono is the tenth fastest overall and leads Class C with her 32:07.76, while Jayme Sidaway of John Bapst is the top Class B returner at 12th best in 32:10.14
