All-Time 3200m Programs
We've been working to expand our vast results database this summer adding in several state championship meets dating back to 1995, and the plan is to continue throughout the summer. While we don't have every team's top athletes of all-time we wanted to take a look at the data we had to see what programs (schools) had the top performers in every track and field event outdoors.
We scored each team just like a cross-country meet, giving 1 point for the fastest time, and so on. A program's score is based on the top five performers in the event with the top 7 athletes acting as displacers.
Today we are going to take a look at the girl's 3200m. Below are the top five programs based on the results we currently have in the database. For the complete list of 92 teams visit the link below.

Mt Ararat behind the Wilcox sisters is the top 3200m program in state history, just edging out Gorham and Cheverus. Jesse Wilcox has the fastest time for the Eagles with her 10:55.25 personal best, sister Beth clocked a best of 11:14.15. The average time for the top five scorers was 11:18.50 with seven athletes running 11:35.05 or better.
The Rams of Gorham led by 2020 graduate Kate Tugman rank second. Tugman ran a personal best 11:05.83 for 3200m. All five scorers for Gorham clocked times of 11:30.75 or faster as they averaged 11:20.85 for their scoring five.
Cheverus is the third-ranked program with two ladies under 11 minutes. Emily Durgin, now a professional runner for Under Armour has the top time with a 10:55.38 personal best while Fiona Hendry clocked 10:59.32 during her high school career. The Stags averaged 11:17.10 for their scoring five.
Falmouth is next with current standout Sofie Matson leading the way with her 10:24.07 she ran in 2019. Matson currently ranks third-best all-time in state history in the event. Another current runner Karley Piers ranks second with her 11:06.07 personal best.
Greely rounds out the top five programs behind Kirstin Sandreuter's 10:34.87 personal best. Sandreuter's time is the fourth fastest in state history. The Rangers averaged 11:17.76 for their scoring five.
