Boys
Rowan Carter (Marshwood) clocked 10.79 in the 100m on Tuesday the time is the fifth fastest in state history. On Saturday Miles Burr of MDI set a new 200m state leader with a 21.99, 5th best in state history. Junior Billy Albertson of Skowhegan leaped out to a new outdoor personal best of 22-6, the mark equals the tenth best jump in state history. Corbin Flewelling leaped out to 46-5 to take over the state leader in the event to equal the fourth best jump in state history. Bonny Eagle set a state leading mark of 44.64 in the 4x100 while the Navigators of Falmouth ran 3:37.37 in the 4x400m. Bonny Eagle junior Rowan McDonald added a 7:07 for a state lead in the 1600m race walk. In the 110m hurdles Nolan Garey of Poland ran 14.59, the sixth fastest time in state history he added a 42.27 in the 300m hurdles another state leader. Henry Horne of Freeport took over the 3200m state leader with a 9:42.80 effort while Charlie Collins of Hampden Academy clocked 4:21.70 for the 1600m leader. York senior Matt Charpentier tossed the shot 59-0 3/4 to win the Husky showdown and added a 159-3 in the discus as well this week to take over the top spot. Spencer Stadnicki of Brunswick took over the state lead with a 51.59 in the 400m.
Girls
Scarborough sophomore Emerson Flaker set the leading mark in the 400m (61.83) while Shealyn Brochu of Morse set an 800m state lead with a 2:24.99 effort. Orono junior Ruth White set a 1600m state leader with her 5:07.23 and lowered her 3200m lead down to 10:41.39. NYA junior Sarah Moore set a pair of state leading marks with a 17-9 leap in the long jump and a 36-5 1/4 in the triple. Bangor senior Julia Bassi tossed the shot 38-9 for a new state leading effort.In the 4x100 Scarborough clocked a fast 50.41 to open their season. Gardiner senior Ashlyn Poulin lowered her state leading mark in the 1600m race walk to 7:31.18.
