The Bangor Rams won their third consecutive Class A outdoor track and field team title on Saturday as they amassed 100 points to turn back a challenge from Scarborough. Leading the way for the Rams was senior Anna Connors who won three individual events, and one relay title on the day. Despite the weather Connors ripped a personal best 11.95 to win the 100m dash, her time makes her the fifth sprinter in Maine outdoor history to break the 12 second barrier in the 100. Connors repeated as champion in the 400m as she dominated the field clocking 57.44 before she added her third win on the day with a 25.23 effort in the 200m. Anna closed out her state meet career with a 58.41 anchor to secure the victory for the Rams in the 4x400m relay.

Bangor got only one other win on the day as senior Julia Bassi took the shot put with a throw of 36-5 1/2. The 1600m race walk was a big event for the Rams as seniors Abby Macdonald and Bridget Frazier finished third and fourth. The Rams got a pair of fourth place performances from junior Katie McCarthy in the 800m (2:26.08) and discus (106-5). Anika Noack added a fourth place clearance of 8-6 in the pole vault to finish fourth.
Portland sophomore Samantha Moore showed no ill effects from an injury that kept her out of the SMAA Southwestern Championship last week. Moore took the 1600m closing hard over the last 400m (68.07) to run away from field winning in 5:06.37. She would return in the 800m and following the same pattern as she did the 1600m, ran a negative split of 75.42 - 67.85 to finish in 2:23.27 for her second victory. She would add a third place effort in the 3200m and ran the anchor leg on the fourth place 4x400m relay for the Bulldogs.
In the hurdles Makenna Drouin of Lewiston repeated as state champion in the 100m hurdles (15.41) before coming back to win the 300m hurdles in 45.86. She would also finish as the runner-up in the 200m (25.81) and the 100m (12.25) good for 36 individual points on the day.
Thornton Academy senior Maya Judice won a pair of events. Judice took the pole vault with a 10-6 clearance and was the top finisher in the 1600m race walk as she stopped the clock at 8:11.27.
In the two mile junior Addy Thibodeau of Bonny Eagle ran a personal best 11:15.54 as she pulled away from a strong field over the final three laps. Over in the javelin Serria Carson of Oxford Hills took the title with a personal heave of 120-5 while in the discus senior Kora Eckelman of Sanford surprised the field with the winning toss of 116-7, she entered as the fifth seed.
In the jumps Windham sophomore Tayla Pelletier leaped out to 36-5 1/2 to win the triple jump, while freshman Easnadh Nobel-To'olo of Brewer won the long jump with a distance of 17-0. In the high jump sophomore Anneliese Collin of Portland cleared 5-2 to win the event.
