Harrison has played a key role in Hampden Academy's last two state team titles. Shain will be looked to as the leader of the Broncos this fall. As a sophomore, he finished 16th and moved up to 11th last fall in the Class A state meet. He has his eyes on a top-ten effort this fall. Shain had his best races last year at the Maine Festival of Champions where he placed 11th (16:34.83) and at the Northern Maine Regional where he clocked 16:39.36 to place third.

How has your summer training gone? Approximately how many miles have you logged?
It has been good with some help with my hips. And approximately around 300 miles this summer maybe more.
What are you looking forward to during the 2023 XC season?
Running with my team and achieving greatness with them.
What are your goals for the season?
Win the state title for individual and team.
