Hufnagel had a strong 2022 xc season that saw her finish eighth in the Class B state meet. She advanced to the New England Championship as one of the top twenty-five individuals in the state. Audrey improved 22 spots from her 2021 state meet a year ago, and this year is expected to challenge for a top-five finish. During the indoor season, she finished fifth in the mile and third in the two-mile. This spring she clocked a PR of 12:05.09 for 3200m while indoors she posted a mile PR of 5:40.05.
How has your summer training gone? Approximately how many miles have you logged?
Summer training has been good! I logged about 282 miles.
What are you looking forward to during the 2023 XC season?
We have a really amazing team this year and I'm looking forward to building the team and seeing how far we can go.
What are your goals for the season?
My personal goal this season is to set a new PR.
What is the biggest takeaway from the 2022 XC Season?
The importance of not being over-competitive, especially with my teammates.
How do you stay motivated when you don't want to go for a run?
When I don't want to go for a run, I think about my commitment to my team and the goals we've set.
