2023 Outlook

Falmouth returns top runner Maeve Ginevan, and five of the top seven runners from 2022 this fall. A year ago the Navigators ran to a solid third place finish at the Class A state meet and earned a berth in the New England Championships. One runner to watch out for is Sara Tennent who didn't run in the state meet last fall, but on the track improved to 2:33.15 for 800m. Watch for the incoming freshman Georgia Moon, Parker Fox, and Luisa Simpson to put themselves into contention for a varsity spot in 2023. With another year of training under their belt this Falmouth team is in a position to repeat the success of a year ago and potentially make the jump up into the top two teams this fall. Having the state meet at Belfast should help the Navigators who are better at the mid-distance events on the track.

Coach Jorma Kurry's Comments

Summer training has gone well. Most of our top returners are significantly ahead of previous years. It is a very self-motivated group and they have been organizing a lot of group runs. The girls have very high expectations and are excited to take on the top teams around the state.
