Chadbourne has a breakthrough year in 2022-2023. In the XC season, she improved from 74th at the state meet all the way to a top-ten finish in 2023. She continued her improvement during the indoor season clocking personal best at the mile (5:37.91) and two mile (12:03.42) and finished 4th in the two at the Class A state meet, she advanced to the New England Championship as well. Ava ran even better during the outdoor season clocking 5:29.11 for 1600m, and 11:33.93 for 3200m. She finished 8th in the Class A meet

How has your summer training gone? Approximately how many miles have you logged?
My summer training has gone well, the weather has been very nice!
What are you looking forward to during the 2023 XC season?
I am looking forward to the championship races and seeing how well my teammates perform this season.
What are your goals for the season?
My goals for this season are to stay healthy and perform to the best of my ability.
What is the biggest takeaway from the 2022 XC Season?
Summer training is what leads to a successful season!
How do you stay motivated when you don't want to go for a run?
I listen to music or I run somewhere that is not my neighborhood.
