2023 Outlook
Portland had a great 2022 season that saw them finish fourth in the Class A state meet. The Bulldogs return their top four from a year ago which is a great start. Leading the way will be individual title contender Samantha Moore who was the Class A runner-up last fall. Moore won the 800 and mile at the Class A indoor state meet and won the 800 and 1600 at the outdoor state meet. She ran 5:06.42 for the mile indoors. Chadbourne gives Portland a powerful 1-2 punch, she was one of the most improved in the state a year ago going from 74th up to 10th. On the track, Chadbourne ran 11:33.93 for 3200m outdoors. This Bulldogs team is full of young talent and ready to make a run at the top of Class A this fall.
