We dug into our database to see which athletes showed the greatest year-over-year improvement at the KVAC Championship held at Cony High School. While there was a slight course adjustment - with the finish line moved to the lower field - the overall distance remained 5K.

A total of 118 athletes ran faster times this fall, thanks in part to the ideal weather and excellent course conditions. Noah Hawkins of Hampden Academy earned top honors as the most improved runner, cutting his time from 43:07 down to 37:14. Meanwhile, Harper Borden of Edward Little, who placed fifth overall, made an impressive leap from 19:04 last fall to 16:45 this year.
