Boys Sprints: Top Times Per Year 2009-Current

With the 2025-26 indoor season now complete, it's a fitting time to look back at the evolution of boys' sprint performances over the past decade and a half. We examined the top times in each sprint event from 2009 to the present, highlighting the fastest marks ever recorded in state history.

Unsurprisingly, many of those all-time performances have come in recent years. Advances in spike technology have played a significant role, contributing to a surge of record-setting times in the 55 meters, 200 meters, and 55-meter hurdles over the past five seasons.

The 2025-26 campaign continued that trend, most notably producing the second-fastest 4x200 relay time in state history, further evidence that the bar in Maine sprinting continues to rise.
