Orono claimed the Class C girls state championship with 91 points, pulling away from Maine Central Institute (62.17) and Winslow (53) behind a well-balanced effort across distance, field events, and relays.

Orono's title run was fueled by dominant performances from its distance squad and versatile field event contributors. Maya Boyington led the way, winning the 3200m in 11:19.31 while also placing second in the 1600m (5:13.70). She was supported by teammate Sam Reidy, who captured the 800m (2:27.49), and a strong supporting cast that contributed in multiple distance events and the winning 4x800 relay (10:23.43).

In the field events, Orono's Easnadh Nobel To'olo delivered one of the top all-around performances of the meet, winning the pole vault (10-0) and triple jump (36-3) while also placing second in both the long jump (17-0) and the 100m hurdles (15.58 runner-up finish). Her multi-event scoring played a major role in separating Orono from the field.

Maine Central Institute secured the runner-up position through strong performances across sprints, hurdles, and field events. Gabrielle Finelli contributed key hurdle points, finishing fourth in the 100m hurdles (16.66) and third in the 300m hurdles (48.99). Meanwhile, Issabella Spell added valuable scoring in the jumps, placing second in the triple jump (34-10.50) and seventh in the long jump (15-0.75). The team also found success in the vertical jumps, where Norah Jamison finished second in the pole vault (9-6) and Charlotte Gross placed third (9-0

Winslow's third-place finish was highlighted by distance and hurdle contributions. Kelty Pooler placed second in the 800m (2:29.35), while Belen Farnham added a third-place finish in the 3200m (12:01.25), and the team also placed second in the 4x800 (10:38.11).

Across the meet, individual performances stood out in every event group. Traip Academy's Jacqueline Diallo swept the sprints, winning both the 100m (12.45) and 200m (25.53). In the 400m, George Stevens Academy's Ripley King-Ofsiany took the win in 58.36, while Bangor Christian's Mary Allen claimed the 300m hurdles (46.37).

Field events were equally competitive, with Seacoast Christian's Audrey O'Meara winning the long jump (17-7) and placing second in the shot put (33-10.75), while Piscataquis Community's Ava Goulette swept the throws, winning both the shot put (36-4.5) and discus (107-4). Lisbon/Oak Hill's Jillian Smith added a javelin title at 113-1, rounding out a diverse group of champions.

The relays provided additional highlights, with Boothbay/Wiscasset winning the 4x100 (52.26) and Bucksport capturing the 4x400 (4:19.70), while Orono's distance squad controlled the 4x800.

Boys Championship Recap

Bangor Christian captured the Class C boys championship with 59 points, narrowly defeating Wells (46) and Winthrop (45) in a tightly contested meet.

Bangor Christian's title was driven by strong performances in the hurdles, throws, and vertical jumps. Jesse Booker played a major role, winning the 300m hurdles (40.39) while also placing second in the 110m hurdles (15.66) and contributing in the javelin. Teammate Samuel Whitcomb added points with a second-place finish in the pole vault (12-0) and third in the 110m hurdles.

Wells finished runner-up behind a dominant sprint performance from Aaron Adams, who swept the 100m (11.49) and 200m (23.14), while also adding relay points.

Winthrop's third-place finish was powered by a strong distance unit. The team won the 4x400 relay (3:35.58) and saw key contributions from athletes like Alfie Cognata, who placed second in the 800m (2:01.18) and third in the 1600m.

Distance events were dominated by Dirigo's William Morris, who completed an impressive distance sweep, winning the 800m (1:57.11), 1600m (4:29.76), and 3200m (9:52.46).

Field events provided major highlights as well. Fort Fairfield's Ethan Walsh won the high jump (6-6) and placed in multiple events, while George Stevens Academy's Reece Renwick captured the long jump (20-5). Bucksport's Aven Laplant cleared 12-6 to win the pole vault.

In the throws, Madison's Skye Burgoyne took the discus title at 137-0, and Winthrop's Jacob Feith captured the javelin with a throw of 165-0.

Dexter Regional's Brady Jerome won the shot put (47-2.75).

Relays added depth to the meet scoring, with Narraguagus winning the 4x100 (46.07), Houlton/GHCA taking the 4x800 (8:29.07), and Winthrop closing the meet with a 4x400 victory (3:35.58).
