Marshwood's Anna Jennings delivered one of the top performances of the meet, soaring to a lifetime best 18-10 1/4 in the long jump to claim runner-up honors. The mark ranks as the third-best in Maine history and capped off a strong day that also saw Jennings place seventh in the 400m (57.51). On the track, Class A champion Macey Weisberg continued her standout season, blazing to a 24.98 in the 200m to win her section and secure second overall. In the field events, Lewiston senior Nsungui Mankatu unleashed a 46-6 leap in the triple jump to earn a runner-up finish, while Old Town's Elyannah Briggs matched the winning height of 5-7 in the high jump, finishing second on attempts. Her mark moves her into a tie for seventh best in state history.
Deering's Ellis Wood showed grit and race savvy in the grueling 3200m, battling the heat while unleashing a powerful negative split to surge into third place in 9:30.93. Yarmouth senior Ella Cameron turned in a standout all-around performance in the throws, earning third in the javelin with a personal-best 130-5, good for the fourth-best mark in Maine history, before adding another podium finish in the discus, where her 131-9 throw placed fourth and ranks eighth all-time in the state. Brunswick's Liz Green also impressed in the discus, finishing fifth with a personal-best toss of 128-11.
On the track, freshman Nora Schmidt continued her strong season with a fifth-place finish in the 3200m (10:53.50), while Falmouth junior Georgia Moon clocked 4:57.66 to take fifth in the 1600m. In the field events, Camden Hills sophomore Emmett Milliken powered his way to fifth in the shot put with a throw of 55-3 1/2, and Fort Fairfield senior Ethan Walsh cleared 6-7 on his third attempt to secure fifth place in the high jump.
