Emily Durgin (Cheverus) is back in 2011. Durgin has regained the her top form early on in the season, she clocked an impressive 18:30 5k on her home course last week. Emily finished 1:06 in front of the runner-up on her way to victory, her time was a personal best on the course by 21 seconds. Durgin's time ranks as the top 5k time for any girl in the state of Maine this fall. For her excellent performance she has been voted the MaineTrackXC "Performance of the Week" winner for girls
Matt McClintock (Madison) was on a mission at Carrabec last week as he covered the 5k course in a speedy 15:38. The time is a personal best for XC, and is the fastest time clocked in the State of Maine this fall. Matt won the race by a robust 1:21. To put his performance into perspective, Matt ran the same course last fall in 16:32. For his outstanding run he has been selected in a close vote as the MaineTrackXC "Performance of the Week" winner for boys.
