DEPTH EQUALS WINS FOR MT BLUE GIRLS AND MARANACOOK BOYS   FULL RESULTS

In cross country it is often said that the #4 and #5 runners are the keys to victory.  This was readily apparent at Leavitt today.
In the girls meet, Mt. Blue earned a 20 point win over Leavitt with Maranacook two points back of them.  Maranacook's Abby Mace ran away from the pack with only Mt. Blue's Addie Cullenberg close through the first mile.  Mace then pulled away to win in 19:59.  Cullenberg was 2nd in 21:41.  Leavitt's Lucy Knowlton and Maddie Wiegman took 3rd and 4th with Caroline Colon and Hannah Depres of Maranacook taking the next two spots.  Mt. Blue then put away the meet taking  5 of the next 7 spots lead by Louisa Stancioff and Maryam Norton in 7th and 8th. Lisbon's Meagan Thomas placed 9th with Mt. Blue's Katherine Gunther finishing 10th.
On the boys side, Maranacook squeaked out a two point win over Mt. Blue.  Mt. Blue's Justin Tracy took 1st place in 17:56 followed by teammate Sully Jackson in 18:16.  Maranacook's Kelby Mace overtook Mt. Blue's Dustin Staples for the next spot.
Maranacook's Justin Stevenson and Taylor Watson moved up in the last mile to grab 5th and 6th with teammates Kilton Webb (9th) and Colby Watts (11th) helping nail down the victory.  The remainder of the too ten were Jeremy Read of Oxford Hills (7th), Leavitt's Tim Enos (8th) and Mt. Blue's Alex Chandler (10th).
