Teal Jackson adds new state leader at 400m 60.71, while clocking state #2 200m 26.65 wile Tiffany Gray hits a huge one in the triple jump 35-6 3/4. David Correale adds 800m state leader to his resume 2:02.02
There were 3 new state leaders produced on the oval at the Univeristy of Maine on Friday night as Bangor, Brewer, Old Town & Hampden Academcy sqaured off. On the girls side Brewer's Teal Jackson set a new state best at 400m 60.71 while Bangor's Tiffany Gray popped off a 35-6 3/4 in the triple jump. On the boys side David Correale ripped a new personal best in the 800m 2:02.02, the fastest time in the state by over 2 seconds.
Girls Highlights
- 200 Meter Dash - Teal Jackson of Brewer High School drove to a 26.65 to win, followed by Tiffany Gray of Bangor High School in 27.70
- Two Mile Run - Miranda Monk of Bangor High School earned a 12:01.83 win, trailed by Kylee Parker of Hampden Academy and her 12:29.84
- 400 Meter Dash - Teal Jackson of Brewer High School drove to a 1:00.71 to win a new state leader, trailed by Alexa Dufour of Old Town High School and her 1:05.09, Laken Thomas of Bangor High School (1:05.21), Jade Baumrind of Bangor High School (1:07.24), Synclaire Tasker of Brewer High School (1:07.25)
- 55 Meter Hurdles - Grace Maclean of Bangor High School earned gold in 9.08 and next was Alexa Dufour of Old Town High School (9.46), Jade Baumrind of Bangor High School (9.62), Cassie Braithwaite of Bangor High School (9.86), Courtney Lizotte of Bangor High School (9.90), Synclaire Tasker of Brewer High School (9.95). Maclean had the top time out of the prelims (8.90). Next was Dufour (9.59), Baumrind (9.66), Braithwaite (9.94)
- 55 Meter Dash - Teal Jackson of Brewer High School smoked a 7.66 to win. Jackson had the top time out of the prelims (7.59)
- 800 Meter Run - Ashley Robinson of Bangor High School earned a 2:34.84 win, trailed by Riley Marquis of Old Town High School and her 2:36.61, Sarah Tatgenhorst of Hampden Academy (2:38.33)
- High Jump - Grace Maclean of Bangor High School cleared a 5-0 to win, followed by: Tia Jackson of Old Town High School (4-10), Heather Soule of Old Town High School (4-8)
- Long Jump - Tiffany Gray of Bangor High School hit the sand at 16-7.25 to win upping her Class A leading jump, followed by: Grace Maclean of Bangor High School (16-1.25), Marina Dow of Hampden Academy (15-1.5), Chelsea Kuzio of Hampden Academy (14-11.75)
- One Mile Run - Angelyn Masters of Bangor High School hustled to a 5:47.39 win with Shannon Dapice of Brewer High School in tow at 5:47.64. After that was Elizabeth Labun of Hampden Academy at 5:54.67
- Pole Vault - Courtney Lizotte of Bangor High School sailed over 9-0 for the win
- Shot Put - Ashley Flint of Bangor High School launched it 29-8.25 to earn the top spot on the podium
- Triple Jump - Tiffany Gray of Bangor High School lept 35-6.75 to get first with a new state leader, followed by: Tia Jackson of Old Town High School (33-3), Chelsea Kuzio of Hampden Academy (32-2.5), Marina Dow of Hampden Academy (31-11.25)
Boys Highlights
- 200 Meter Dash - Ryan Faircloth of Hampden Academy took it home in 24.54, followed by Andrew Toothaker of Hampden Academy in 24.82, Cam Blood of Hampden Academy (25.06)
- Two Mile Run - Jon Stanhope of Bangor High School got it done, winning in 10:29.72
- 400 Meter Dash - Anthony Jackson of Brewer High School drove to a 54.87 to win just out-kicking the 54.91 by Sam Donnelly of Hampden Academy
- 55 Meter Hurdles - Andrew Toothaker of Hampden Academy hurdled to a 8.21 win and next was Ryan Faircloth of Hampden Academy (8.49). Toothaker had the top time out of the prelims (8.48)
- 55 Meter Dash - Impressive top speed helped Anthony Jackson of Brewer High School win in 6.98 and next was Cam Blood of Hampden Academy (7.07). Jackson had the top time out of the prelims (7.10). Next was Blood (7.10)
- 800 Meter Run - David Correale of Bangor High School hustled to a 2:02.02 win a new state leader, trailed by Jon Stanhope of Bangor High School and his 2:04.64, Alex Shi of Bangor High School (2:08.57), Trey Williams of Brewer High School (2:10.93), Josh Belanger of Bangor High School (2:10.97)
- High Jump - Cain Corkum of Bangor High School got over 5-8 in his victory
- Long Jump - Andrew Toothaker of Hampden Academy lept 19-6.25 to get first
- One Mile Run - Jonathan Belanger of Bangor High School cruised to a 4:42.12 win, trailed by Andrew Closson of Hampden Academy and his 4:48.00, Jacob Archer of Bangor High School (4:50.24)
- Pole Vault - With the bar at 11-0, Jesiah Harris of Bangor High School gets the gold, followed by: Conor Patrick of Hampden Academy (11-0), Joseph Hayden of Brewer High School (11-0)
