The SB Report: Girls Individual XC Power Rankings Week #3

This fall at MaineTrackXC we will feature "The SB Report". "The SB Report" will feature power rankings of the top 10 girls & boys teams, as well as individuals in the state. The author of the blog Sam Bonsey, has contributed to MaineTrackXC in the past and we are glad we can share his thoughts on the 2012 XC season.  Bonsey is a former XC/track runner from Falmouth HS, and is currently a journalism student at the University of Maine. Check out his writing each week this fall.

Meet: at Messalonskee

Place: DNC

Time: N/A


Brown earned herself a bye week this weekend after she ran 18:35 on her home course. If she runs at the Manchester Invitational this weekend look for Brown to contend for the win. If not, look for her to dominate the competition once again when Waterville heads to Cony on Friday.

Meet: at Medomak Valley

Place: 1st

Time: 20:36.42


Nagy looked to be in top form in her first race of the season. She outkicked Brittany Bowman of Camden Hills to capture the win running 20:36.42. Look for Nagy to win easily when Lawrence heads to MCI on Friday.

Meet: at Blue Hill

Place: 1st

Time: 18:00


Looker earned a big jump in the rankings after her dominating performance at Blue Hill on Friday. The junior clocked in 18:00 over 3 miles destroying the competition. Look for her to continue her winning ways when Ellsworth heads to the Sectional Invitational this Saturday.

Last Week: 3

Meet: at Medomak Valley

Place: 2nd

Time: 20:39.60


Bowman gave Nagy a run for her money on Friday as she narrowly missed defeating the senior from Lawrence. Look for Bowman to take home another victory when Camden heads to Cony on Friday.
 

<>5.Charlotte Pierce Thornton Academy

Last Week: 4

Meet: at Thornton

Place: 1st

Time: 19:46


Pierce used her home course to her advantage as she cruised to a dominating win running a time of 19:46. Look for Pierce to continue to shin when Thornton heads to Marshwood on Friday.
