This fall at MaineTrackXC we will feature "The SB Report". "The SB Report" will feature power rankings of the top 10 girls & boys teams, as well as individuals in the state. The author of the blog Sam Bonsey, has contributed to MaineTrackXC in the past and we are glad we can share his thoughts on the 2012 XC season. Bonsey is a former XC/track runner from Falmouth HS, and is currently a journalism student at the University of Maine. Check out his writing each week this fall.

Falmouth showed off their depth as they had five runners run under 18 minutes. Bryce Murdick led the way for them as he placed second overall running a time of 17:09. Falmouth will run on their home course this Friday where they should win going away.
Results from the Messalonskee meet have yet to come in, but that shouldn’t change Lewiston’s ranking. Look for them to cruise to a victory on Friday when they head to Oxford Hills.
Ellsworth cruised to another easy victory at Presque Isle. Dan Curts led the way as he took home another victory running a time of 16:04. Look for them to win the Sectional Invitational on Saturday.
Cape Elizabeth shook off a big challenge from York as they took home the victory at Kittery. Peter Doane and Liam Simpson led the charge for the Capers as they placed second and third respectively. Cape heads to GNG on Friday.
