After the 2012 Girls Varsity XCountry Meet in Belfast Maine the girls enjoyed a mud slide. It was unbelievably rainy and muddy and they made the best of it.
The Camden Hills girls made a statement as they repeated as EM champs. The Windjammers scored 51 to outdistance surprise runner-up Waterville & MDI. On the Boys side Ellsworth made a statement Individually Bethanie Brown trounded the field with easily the fastest girls time of the day, in fact the only one sub 20 on the day as she ran 18:46. Dan Curts was the boys winner as he was 50 seconds better than Ben Trapani the runner-up, Curts time was the fastest boys time on the day
