While it was Katie Spies (Mt. Ararat) who ran to the KVAC Class A title 20:12.8 Will Geoghegan (Brunswick) defended his Class A KVAC title, winning with a 16:09.5 over Jason Kaake (Morse) 16:17 . In KVAC Class B in what was a little bit of a surprise Darick Frye (Hampden) 16:26 was victorious over defending champion Sam Seekins (Erskine) 17:10.8 Edward Little won the Class A Boys title over Brunswick in a mild upset 65-84 In Class B it was Hampden Academy running away with first place (66) over Winslow (94). On the girls side Mt. Ararat won the Class A meet by 9 points over Mt. Blue (54-63) while Medomak Valley was truimphant in Class B over Maranacook (54-77) full results | recap article

The KVAC XC Championship will be held Saturday at the University of Maine at Augusta. The compeition is expected to be very intense teamwise as well as for individuals.
