 The KVAC XC Championship will be held Saturday at the University of Maine at Augusta. The compeition is expected to be very intense teamwise as well as for individuals. Edward Little/Hampden boys & Mt. Ararat/Medomak Valley girls claim KVAC championships Oct 17, 2009

(Darick Frye (Hampden) won the Class B titile 16:26 while Abby Mace pictured above right had the fastest time of the day for girls 19:03 in winning the Class B KVAC titile photo by Dave Flewelling) Abby Mace (Maranacook) won the KVAC Class B title running the fastest time on the day 19:03. While it was Katie Spies (Mt. Ararat) who ran to the KVAC Class A title 20:12.8   Will Geoghegan (Brunswick) defended his Class A KVAC title, winning with a 16:09.5 over Jason Kaake (Morse) 16:17 . In KVAC Class B in what was a little bit of a surprise Darick Frye (Hampden) 16:26 was victorious over defending champion Sam Seekins (Erskine) 17:10.8   Edward Little won the Class A Boys title over Brunswick in a mild upset 65-84 In Class B it was Hampden Academy running away with first place (66) over Winslow (94). On the girls side Mt. Ararat won the Class A  meet by 9 points over Mt. Blue (54-63) while Medomak Valley was truimphant in Class B over Maranacook (54-77)    full results | recap article
