KVAC Indoor Track Championship Feb 10, 2011

The KVAC Indoor Track Championship will take place at Bowdoin College on Saturday. The KVAC splits into two different meets, with the Class A schools in one meet while the Class B school in another meet. Check out the MEET PAGE for final meet seeds including lane assignments.

Brunswick Girls & Edward Little Boys win Class A KVAC titles Feb 13, 2011

The Brunswick girls took home the hardware for the KVAC Class A title, scoring a 22 point win over Mt. Ararat. They had several top level performance, and will head into the Class A State meet as the favorites to win the State title. On the boys side Edward Little scored an 11 point win over Brunswick, with Mt Ararat  in 3rd with 96. There were 4 new boys state leaders on the day led by McKenzie Gary's impressive 6.59 in the 55m, and 22.91 in the 200m, Lewiston 4x800 8:27.55, & Brunswick 4x200 1:36.19. Waterville sweeps Class B KVAC Titles Feb 13, 2011

The Waterville Purple Panthers tuned up for the state meet with two dominating team wins. On the girls side Waterville scored 177.5 points to defeat runner-up Winslow by 87.5 points. On the boys side of the action it was much of the same as Waterville tallied 155 to outdistanced Erskine Academy by 57. Check back for more highlights tomorrow. There were 3 new state leading marks all on the girls side. Bethanie Brown won the mile 5:16.47 & 2 mile 11:34.02 for two new distance state leaders, while teammate Olivia Thurston clocked 8.79 in the 55m hurdles. On the boys side Waterville standout Isaiah Spofford added 3 wins, 55m, LJ, 200m, while Eben Hogdkins (Erskine) pulled off the distance triple RESULTS
