With the outdoor track practices underway we will take a look at the top 25 returners by event and by class, today's event the 100m
Conference championships around the state highlighted the weekend in Maine XC. We had several of the top teams in the state battle it out at the KVAC Championships, while some of the top runners rested for the WMC Championships. A course record went down in the PVC and there were dominant team finishes in the MVC. Let's take a look at the highlights.
The MVC XC Championship will take place at the University of Maine at Augusta at 11am on Saturday morning.

Faith Blethen and Nick Harriman won the MVC preview meet, while the Boothbay girls and Winthrop boys showed up strong to win.

The MVC Championship meet will be held Saturday at the University of Maine at Augusta. The Boys team race should be a good match-up between the defending Class C state champions & MVC Champions looking for a repeat, while they will face a stiff challenge from Monmouth Academy. Now that the individual class previews for both girls & boys have been published, it's time to make some state meet team predictions for each class.
The team title is going to be one to watch with several of the top teams from last fall returning key members of their squads. Hall-Dale & Monmouth both return their entire squads from last fall, while Winthrop & Lisbon, the top 2 teams from 2007 will be in the mix as well. What team will establish itself early on? Who will challenge Wade Davis? What team will surprise everyone?
