Maine Running Company Performances of the Week
Bethanie Brown is no starnger to winning the Maine Running Company Performance of the Week. The senior was selected in the first poll of the year for her outstanding 10:24.73 3200m run. Brown's time is her 2nd fastest of the year for the distance, and is the top time in Maine, top in New England, & tenth fastest time nationally in the event. Bethanie the defending Class B and New England champion in the 1600 & 3200 is off to a great start in 2013.
On the boys side Devin Burgess of Waterville was selected for his personal best 14-5 1/2 clearance in the pole vault. Burgess has the top mark in the state, and his height is one of the top marks ever by a Maine HS boy. Devin's mark also in the top vault in New England this spring. He is the defending Class B indoor & outdoor champion, who looks to be the heavy favorite to win another title this spring.
