Maine Running Company Performances of the Week
Fryeburg's Corinn Bedell took her running to another level at the WMC Championship last weekend as she ran the 400m in a Maine All-time best tying 57.17. The mark broke the WMC record, and gave Bedell a spot in the record book next to Cuyler Goodwin of Mt Ararat on the All-time list. Corinn also added a win in the 200m, and will be looking to stand alone in the record books after the state meet this weekend. On the boys side their was a close vote between Matt McClintock & Will Shafer that had to be broken with a coin flip. McClintock took the top honors with his 1600m & 3200m record breaking runs at the MVC Championship meet. Matt set personal bests in both events 4:21.24 in the 1600m & a state leading 9:18.58 in the 3200m. Matt will look to defend his Class C titles & aim to leave his name in the record book.
