Washburn's Carsyn Koch has a chance to do something special in 2013 if she can win the Class C state for the 4th straight year.. If she wins she would join Abbey Leonardi as the only other female to win a state title all 4 years of HS. Koch dominated the Class C XC state meet by almost a minute. Koch would go on to finish 28th at the NE Chmapionship, just missing ALL-NE honors. Carsyn played basketball in the winter, and then showed some great range outdoors.
