Best time in a 5K race and in which meet:  

My best time in a 5k is 19:40 which I got at New-Englands in my Freshman year and then tied at states in Belfast this past cross-country season.


Tell us how your summer training is going?:

Summer training is going well, I've been taking it fairly easy and just been enjoying running .Me and my sister like to go run at the beach a couple times a week to get off the road.


What are your goals for the upcoming season?:

My goals for the season are pretty obvious for a runner- stay healthy and improve my time .



How long have you been running and how did you get started?:

I started running when I was 12, so it has been about 4 years now. My two best friends got me running a couple days a week with them during the summer and then convinced me to go out for cross country that fall instead of soccer.

 

Will you be competing anywhere out of state this season?:

We will be racing mostly in Maine this year, but we will probably be competing at the Manchester invitational



What is your favorite course to run in Maine?:

Favorite Maine course? probably Twin Brooks.It has been muddy almost every time we've run it but that makes the course more fun.


What is the toughest course to run in Maine?:

I think one of the toughest courses I've run in Maine is our home course at the apple orchard, it has a lot of long hills.

 


What meet during the regular season do you put extra emphasize on to compete well at?:

Generally we try to do our best at every meet, but if I had to pick one that we put more emphasis on, it would be the invitationals.



What is your favorite cross country race so far in your high school career?:

One of my favorite x-c races was states this past year at Belfast, the whole team did really well and after a tough season I finally felt healthy again.



Favorite cross country memory?:

favorite x-c memory.... just one? we like to play football at spaghetti dinners the night before our meets. I am slightly surprised that none of us has gotten injured. My little sister joined us once and totally showed us all up.



When you are not running what is your favorite thing to do?:

When I'm not running I like to eat ice-cream. I also like to hike and go to the beach.

I have been training in mizuno wave inspires the past couple of years.



What shoes do you race in?:

I have been racing in a pair of asics long distance spikes.



What professional athlete would you most like to meet?:

The professional athlete I would most like to meet is Adrian Peterson.



What is something that most people don't know about you?

Most people don't know that I have type 1 diabetes.
