Tell us how your summer training is going?
My summer training is going well. I've been keeping it interesting by going to different places for runs such as Ferry Beach and the extremely sketchy side of Eastern trail (where I definitely run faster.) I'm looking forward to the season!!

What are your goals for the upcoming season?
I definitely want to PR this season and run in the low 19s. I also want to qualify for New Englands in Maine.

How long have you been running and how did you get started?
I've been running since third grade when I joined the community services cross country program in my 3/4 length baggy blue Adidas capris that I always wore. I've always admired how passionate and dedicated my dad is towards running, so I figured it'd be something I'd like too! Even if I only completed races for the free popsicle back then, I'm grateful for everyone who has supported me through all these miles.

What's a typical training week like?
Usually Monday-Friday contains 2-3 workouts with recovery runs in between and a long run on Saturday or Sunday.

What is your favorite course to run in Maine?
I really enjoy Belfast because all the races I run there have a lot of people in them. The energy and excitement from both fellow racers and spectators invigorates me.

What is the toughest course to run in Maine?
Definitely Twin Brooks, as it's mentally and physically challenging. But as a result it most certainly holds a greater feeling of accomplishment at the end.

Out of all your running achievements so far, which stands out the most?
Well, one time during my sophomore year of indoor track, I was on a run with two of my teammates. We were on a long dirt road, and a guy in a grey truck decided he would slam on the gas and drive right at us. We had to jump into the woods through thorn bushes to outrun him, and I'm convinced I've never run faster in my entire life.

What do you love most about running?
I love the accomplished feeling after workouts and races and how it pushes you beyond what you thought you could do. I think it's always teaching me about perseverance in life situations, and that everything worth doing will take work and dedication. Oh...and because you can eat food after!

When you are not running, what Is your favorite thing to do?
I love adventuring with my friends and/or dog to watch gorgeous sunsets and discover unique venues.

Do you have any pre-race rituals or routines?
Usually I listen to music and pray to stay calm before the bus. Then on the bus I talk to and laugh with my teammates.

Favorite quote?
"It never gets easier, you just get stronger."

What was the last movie you saw and what did you think of it?
The last movie I saw was Trolls, and it was fantastic.

What shoes do you race/train in?
I race in Nike Zoom Rival xc spikes and I train in the Nike Zoom Vomero 12.

What professional athlete would you most like to meet?
Definitely Michael Scott. He ate a full portion of fettuccine Alfredo then proceeded to run a 5k! In all seriousness though, I'd love to meet Allyson Felix because her faith in God and motivation for running is inspiring to me.

What is something that most people don't know about you?
I'm homeschooled! (No, I don't live on a farm and yes, I'm allowed outside.) Those are definitely just stereotypes :))

If you were stranded on an island with three things, what would they be?
(Definitely not in order of importance or anything...) my dog Jade with our matching elf costumes, an unlimited supply of Cheerios, and my GPS watch.
