After winning the 400 at states was very exciting as this was the event I was mostly looking forward to. I really made sure to rest and stretch going into that race as I knew it was going to be a really tough race. My coach and I had been working on how I should be running the 400 all season and doing so I was able to break my personal records over and over. During my race at states coming around the second turn I really felt good and that it was going to be a great second lap.

After finishing I was shocked to see I had run sub 52 which was one of my goals coming into the season.

My coaches have been a huge part in my success not only do they know what they are doing but everyone on our team is close with them and you can just be your self which went a long way to having fun practices a great, fun successful year.
How do you think winning an individual state title will effect you heading into outdoors?
Winning a state title in indoor was a very good achievement of mine but I know going into the outdoor season I am going to be having a lot more competition which is also a good thing knowing I am going to be able to have people to push me to a better time.
