Class B 55m hurdle champion, and All-New England athlete Nolan Garey of Poland competed in the 60m hurdles preliminaries. Running in section seven, Garey clocked 8.39 to finish 5th, overall he ranked 39th.

In the 60m Championship preliminaries Class B 55m champion, and New England runner-up Miles Burr of MDI ran the second fastest 60m in state history with a 7.05. His effort was good for 44nd overall.

In the Championship triple jump Class B state champion Corbin Flewelling of Old Town leaped out to 45-8 on his third attempt to make the final. Flewelling would finish eighth best overall. Class A champion Billy Albertson of Skowhegan jumped 43-9 1/4 on his first attempt, he finished 16th.

Miles Burr of MDI set a new state record in the 200m as he won section 11 in the Championship race with a 21.83. The mark erases the four year old mark of 21.86 run by Jarett Flaker.

Anna Connors of Bangor the Class A 200m champion ran 24.91, the second best of her indoor career to place second in section 14. Connors the state record holder in the event placed 

Portland junior Nathan Blades clocked 1:57.55 in the Championship 800m to finish seventh in section five. Overall Blades was 54th. James Cognata of Winthrop went out hard in section six before placing ninth. His time of 2:03.35 placed him 80th.

Nike RESULTS

Class A long jump champion Julia Pendleton of Bonny Eagle leaped 17-3 1/2 in the Emerging Elite long jump. The distance was her second best of the season and third meet in a row over 17-3.

Parker Killiard of Scarborough the Class a 200M champion ran 22.73 to place fourth in section 1 of the Emerging Elite race. He finished 25th overall.
