Meet Highlights 5/8-5/13
Boys
Miles Burr of Mt Desert Island clocked a new personal best of 10.90 in the 100m to lower his state lead and move to #9 all-time in state history. While freshman Mason Henderson of Leavitt inched closer to the state freshman record with an 11.09
Bonny Eagle senior Jacob Schmader ran 50.34 to set a new state leading mark in the 400m at the Loucks Games. While Joseph Richards of Winslow set a new Class C leading mark at 50.81.
Kaleb Colson a junior from Sumner set a new stat leading mark in the 800 with a 1:54.81, the time is 11th best in state history. In the mile Charlie Collins of Hampden Academy clocked a personal best 4:17.23 at the Loucks Games, finishing behind him with a Class B leader was Henry Horne of Freeport in 4:17.84. Adam Bendetson of Scarborough lowered his state leading effort in the 3200m down to 9:20.57.
Tucker Walker of Sanford upped his Class A leading mark in the discus with a 154-4-10, while Kayden Ames of Boothbay/Wiscasset threw 149-5 to up his Class C leading effort.
Gorham sophomore Griffin Gammon soared to 6-5 1/2 for a new state leading clearance in the high jump. Corbin Flewelling of Old Town upped his Class B leading effort to 22-1. Conor Morin of Cony jumped the 10th best effort in the triple jump with a 45-8 1/4 effort in the triple jump. Kyle Sidaway of John Bapst and Thomas McCormack of Brunswick each cleared 13-0 to be co-state leaders in the event.
Girls
Emma Burr of MCI set a new Class C leading mark in the 200m with a personal best 25.90. Burr also joined the sub 60 club in the 400m with a C leading 59.86 in the 400m at the Waterville Invitational, and clocked 46.57 for another C leading mark in the 300m hurdles.
Portland sophomore Samantha Moore clocked a Class A leading mark in the 1600m with a 5:09.15. At the Loucks Games Addy Thibodeau of Bonny Eagle set a Class A leader in the 3200m running 11:17.03
Ashlyn Poulin of Gardiner clocked the #2 AT 1600m race walk time with her 7:17.07 at the Waterville Invitational. Her teammate Yana Montell set a new state leading mark in the javelin with a personal best 119-8 toss.
NYA's Sarah Moore leaped out to 18-2 3/4 to improve her long jump state leader and move to 6th best of all-time. Moore also set a Class C leading mark in the triple jump with a 36-3 1/2 leap. Tayla Pelletier of Windham set a new state leading mark in the triple jump with her 36-7 1/2 effort.
Maya Judice of Thornton Academy equalled the state lead in the pole vault with a 10-7 clearance, the height also improves her Class A leader.
