When and how did you get into track and field?

My sophomore year Coach Van Tassel asked if I could manage the XC team by taking mile splits for our runners.

Who would you consider your biggest competition over your four years?

Waynflete and Dominick Dow.

What was your greatest accomplishment?

Running at all 3 state meets in my final year and winning MVC's and Regionals!

How has track and field impacted your life?

I have met the majority of my friends through XC and T&F.

What were the most difficult obstacles you had to overcome?

Consistency.

How do you prepare for competitions?

Pre-meet mile and remembering that I have done it before.

What influence has your coach had on your high school career?

Fishing and playing tennis.

Do you have any hobbies or interests outside of track and field?

Coach VT is the reason I was introduced to these athletics. He has made me "trust the process" which has helped me tremendously.

What are your college plans?

Run and study Physical Education at UMPI!

What are your long-term goals?

I plan on coaching in the future to hopefully make an impact that my coaches and teammates have made in my life.

Who would you like to say thank you to?

My family and friends for supporting me every day and my coaches for pushing me to be a better version of myself.

What advice would you give to younger athletes?

Stick with it and Trust the process. It's not about being the best athlete, if you are having fun or just enjoy the sport and atmosphere that's much more important!
