This weekend, the nation's longest-running high school cross country national championship series rolls out its Regional Championships, fitting Thanksgiving tradition steeped in history. Maine has long held its own on this stage, producing some of the Northeast's most accomplished runners. Greely's Ben True and Portland's Ayalew Taye both captured Regional titles and were two-time qualifiers for nationals. In 2011, Madison's Matt McClintock earned his spot on the starting line, followed by Josef Holt-Andrews and Dan Curts, who each qualified in 2013. (results only from 1998 to present)
