Girls High Jump- Sarah Perkins & Grace Maclean (Bangor) equal the meet record of 5-2

4x200m Relay- The Scarborough quartet of Morgan Rodway, Katherine Kirk, Avery Pietras & Nicole Kirk clocked 1:50.80 to take over a second of the old mark of 1:51.89 (Greely-2009)

Girls Individual Highlights

• 55 Meter Hurdles - Nailed it! Sarah Perkins of Gorham High School wins in 8.64, trailed by Grace Maclean of Bangor High School and her 8.85, Tori Daigle of Thornton Academy (9.23), Christine Parrilli of Winslow High School (9.37), Carly McKenna of Thornton Academy (9.48), Amanda Arnold of Thornton Academy (9.75), Molly Fitzpatrick of Greely High School (10.02), Courtney Lizotte of Bangor High School (10.08). Perkins had the top time out of the prelims (8.69), followed by Maclean (8.95), Daigle (9.23), Parrilli (9.28), McKenna (9.68), Arnold (9.70), Fitzpatrick (9.76), Lizotte (9.88), Marie Vermund of Thornton Academy (9.90), Kaley Sawyer of Greely High School (10.05)

 

• 55 Meter Dash - Impressive top speed helped Kate Hall of Lake Region High School win in 7.36 (a new state leader) with Sarah Perkins of Gorham High School in her shadow at 7.40. They were followed by Alliyah Veilleux of Winslow High School (7.54), Nicole Kirk of Scarborough High School (7.58), Teal Jackson of Brewer High School (7.66), Morgan Rodway of Scarborough High School (7.68), Sage Hennessey of Fryeburg Academy (7.68), Corrin Bedell of Fryeburg Academy (7.92).



• Hall had the top time out of the prelims (7.36). • One Mile Run - Samantha Cox of Bonny Eagle High School held strong for a winning time of 5:27.73, trailed by Mary Szatkowski of Bonny Eagle High School and her 5:32.69, Charlotte Pierce of Thornton Academy (5:33.95), Alexandra Vayda of Bonny Eagle High School (5:37.25), Miranda Monk of Bangor High School (5:39.44), Angelyn Masters of Bangor High School (5:44.10), Molly Schassberger of Winslow High School (5:44.18), Gabby Johnson of Massabesic High School (5:45.25), Nyajock Pan of South Portland High School (5:45.27), Kristen Glennie of Bonny Eagle High School (5:47.51), Samantha Emmons of Massabesic High School (5:56.60), Kyaunna Libby of Bonny Eagle High School (5:58.67)

 

• Pole Vault - Lindsay Folsom of Cony High School got over 10-6 in her victory, followed by: Courtney Lizotte of Bangor High School (9-0), Sophia Swiatek of Gorham High School (8-6), Catherine Bailey of Scarborough High School (8-6), Jamie Gullikson of Fryeburg Academy (8-6), Kayla Marquis of Orono High School (8-0), Abby Bonnevie of Greely High School (8-0), Emily Curato of Greely High School (8-0)

 

• Shot Put - Cassidy Storey of Greely High School launched it 32-6 to earn the top spot on the podium, followed by: Alliyah Veilleux of Winslow High School (31-9.5), Catherine Fellows of Greely High School (30-10.5), Kaeleigh Harrison of Thornton Academy (30-3), Lydia Coulombe of Thornton Academy (29-9), Patty Smith of Gorham High School (29-8), Shayleen Letellier of Thornton Academy (29-7)

 

• Triple Jump - Tiffany Gray of Bangor High School hit the sand at 35-0 to win, followed by: Kaley Sawyer of Greely High School (32-7), Hannah Southard of Gorham High School (31-5.5), Molly Fitzpatrick of Greely High School (31-3.25), Cassie Braithwaite of Bangor High School (31-1.75), Katie Smith of Winslow High School (31-1.75)

 

Girls Relay Highlights

•   4x200: Scarborough broke the meet record by over 1 second, & lowered the state leading time by close to 1.5 seconds behind a 26.0 anchor leg from Nicole Kirk, South Portland finished 2nd 1:54.87 (5th best state-wide) with Bangor 1:55.39 (6th best state-wide) finished 3rd

 

• 4x800: In the closest race of the day Bangor (10:48.35) held off a fast closing Massebesic team 10:48.38 for the victory

 

• 4x400:  The Red Storm of Scarborough crossed the line first 4:26.21, Noble was the runner-up 4:29.48

 

• 1600m Sprint Medley:  Greely took first 4:38.56 while edging out a strong team from South Portland 4:39.05

 

• Distance Medley Relay: Bonny Eagle was dominate winning the race by over a minute with a 13:33.31

 

Boys Individual Highlights

• 55 Meter Hurdles - Kyle Bailey of Bonny Eagle High School earned gold in 8.17 with Tyson Goodale of Bonny Eagle High School in tow at 8.19. Next was Reid Pryzant of Falmouth High School in 8.20, Patrick Rice of Windham High School (8.49), Chris Walker of Thornton Academy (8.49), Kenny Bouchey of Fryeburg Academy (8.56), Travis Grant of Gorham High School (8.58), Andrew Libby of Thornton Academy (8.79).

 

• Pryzant & Bailey had the top times out of the prelims (8.26) they were a dead heat in the prelim, Goodale (8.38), Grant (8.51), Walker (8.56), Rice (8.62), Libby (8.69), Bouchey (8.71), Cameron Langlois of Scarborough High School (8.81), Ryan Tuttle of South Portland High School (9.00)

 

• 55 Meter Dash - Denzel Tomaszewski of Wells High School took it home in 6.74 and next was Ethan Beaulier of Noble High School (6.80), Luke Dang of Cony High School (6.86), Jackson Mcmann of Cheverus High School (6.90), Miguel Caballero of Orono High School (6.99), Ryan Jamison of Scarborough High School (7.00).

 

• Tomaszewski had the top time out of the prelims (6.72) which is a new state leader. Next was Beaulier (6.88), Jimmy Cambell of Cheverus High School (6.90), Dang (6.95), Mcmann (6.95), Mike Leeman of Greely High School (6.98), Caballero (6.99), Jamison (6.99), Jacob Buhelt of Falmouth High School (7.02), Drew Shelley of Wells High School (7.04), Theodore Lefay of South Portland High School (7.09), David Swan of Bonny Eagle High School (7.10), Mike Caswell of Falmouth High School (7.10), Matt Mckenney of Gorham High School (7.10)

 

• High Jump - Joe Slattery of Cheverus High School got over 5-9 in his victory, followed by: Calvin Fields of Windham High School (5-8)

 

• Long Jump - Miguel Caballero of Orono High School jumped a 21-0 in his win a new state leading mark, followed by: Patrick Rice of Windham High School (19-7.75), Tyson Goodale of Bonny Eagle High School (19-6.25), Joe Slattery of Cheverus High School (19-5.5), David Swan of Bonny Eagle High School (19-3), Andrew Libby of Thornton Academy (18-11.5), Scott Hogan of Bangor High School (18-11.25), Greg Viola of Scarborough High School (18-11), Reid Pryzant of Falmouth High School (18-9.5), Andrew Smith of Thornton Academy (18-9), Jd Hermann of Scarborough High School (18-9)

• Shot Put - Bryan White of Deering High School hurled a victorious 50-1.5, which is his best throw of the season & improves his state leader, followed by: Jared Bell of Deering High School (48-6.5), David Lepauloe of Thornton Academy (43-10.5), Mike Pino of Scarborough High School (43-5), Andrew Martel of Bonny Eagle High School (42-8.25), Robbie Hamilton of Windham High School (42-6), Sam Stewart of Noble High School (42-4)

 

• Triple Jump - Tyson Goodale of Bonny Eagle High School jumped a 43-0.5 in his win, his top jump of the season, followed by: Julian Hubbard of Cony High School (41-7), Patrick Rice of Windham High School (40-2.75)

 

Boys Relay Highlights

• 4x200m Relay: Cheverus closed out the meet by lowering their state leading time to 1:36.35 with the quartet Joe Slattery, Jimmy Campbell, Andrew Rose, & Jackson McMann, Scarborough was 2nd in a 1:37.47, the 2nd best time in the state

 

• 4x800m Relay:  Scarborough took 14 seconds off the state leading mark with a 8:35.94 clocking, with Bangor in 2nd 8:40.58 the #2 time in the state.

 

• 4x400m Relay:  Bangor claimed the top spot with the top time this year 3:40.28, Cheverus was 2nd 3:44.48

 

• 1600m Sprint Medley:  Scarborough took the top spot with a 3:48.29, while Bangor was 2nd 3:55.88

 

• Distance Medley Relay: Gorham was the top squad behind the 1600m leg of Jesse Orach as the Rams cruised in 11:21.14 to win by 18 seconds over Falmouth 11:39.69
