Defending Class B State Champion, Brittany Bowman looks in mid-season form after her top cocking at 5k last weekend, 19:38.75, Oceanside's Abby Hersom showed she is one to watch this fall with a sub 2o minute clocking, 19:46.33. Eva Bates(Greely) started off her sophomore year with a strong 20:58 run on a tough course at Poland.

Bethanie Brown of Waterville crushed the 3 mile course at Bangor last wee running 17:41.60, her time would have placed her 6th in the boys race. Ellsworth Aleta Looker took the Ellsworth Invitational in a fine 19:29:39

2x defending Class B champion Silas Eastman (Fryeburg) blitzed the top 5k in the state last weekend with a 16:07 clocking at Pineland Farms, it wasn't easy for Eastman as he had one of the Class C favorites Jack Pierce (Merriconeag) right on heels, Pierce clocked the #2 time of 16:20.

Dan Curts of Ellsworth dominated the individual race at the Ellsworth Invitational as he clocked an impressive 16:06.85 clocking, the top 3 mile time in the state. Last year on the same course Curts ran 16:51. Ranked #2 over 3 miles is Bangor's Jonathan Stanhope who ran 16:57.23 on his home course for a win, while Orono's Tyler White ran 17:00.87 for 3 miles at the Ellsworth Invitational
