Girls 5k

7 of the fastest ten on the season were clocked at the Fetsival of Champions including the 6 fastest time in the state in 2012. Bethanie Brown lowered her state leading time down to 17:56.69, while Erzsebet Nagy clocked an impressive 18:33.67 in her first 5k of the season. Samantha Cox was the surprise of the girls meet at FOC, she's ranked #3 in the state with a sub 19 clocking (18:59.38). Camden Hils Brittany Bowman is up to #4 from the 8th spot a week ago, while Carsyn Koch of Washburn jumped 7 spots to #5 (19:06.60). Also at #6 is Mary Szatkowski of BE who ran 19:07.46. Another runner setting a seasonal best to stay at #10 was Maggie Painter of MDI. On the week new times were added to the top 20, with the championship meets coming up expect the times to get faster each week.

Boys 5k

12 new times were added to the top 20 this week after the Festival of Champions, leading the way was Bangor's Jonthan Stanhope coming in at the #5 spot after his impressive personal best of 16:24.55. Joining him in the top 10 were Cam Nadeau of Biddeford #7 (16:30.48), making the jump from the 11th spot to #8 was Ben Trapini of Camden Hills, who was the top Class B runner at FOC. At #9 is Mohamed Barre of Lewiston who led the Blue Devils to a second place team finish, while rounding out the top 10 is Robby Hall of Scarborough, who moved up 4 spots from #14. Interesting to note that Lewiston has 3 runners in the top 20 individuals
