Boys Highlights

• 5,000 Meter Run - Ben Trapani of Camden Hills Regional High School held strong for a winning time of 17:27.22 and next was Lucas Bourget of Edward Little High School (17:47.48), Christian Heath of Gardiner High School (17:52.73), Caleb Lord of Hampden Academy (17:54.57)

• 3.3 Mile Run - Mohamed Awil (Lewiston) took the win in 20:10 as the Blue Devils ran a tempo effort and still finished 1-2-3

Aleta Looker of Ellsworth High School ran a 19:17.00 that earned her the W (her best of the year), she was followed by Kirstin Sandreuter of Greely High School in 19:22.00, and  Eva Bates of Greely High School (19:23.00) in the Small School race. Also running well was Hannah Austin of North Yarmouth Academy (20:42.00)

Jocelyn Acheson of Massabesic High School (20:02.00) was the top Maine finisher in the large school race. Laura Broderick of Kennebunk High School (20:39.00)

ARARAT GIRLS DOMINATE/MTB BOYS EDGE MTA

The Mt. Ararat girls team dominated against some pretty good competition in a four team KVAC meet at Brunswick on Thursday. On the boys side, Mt. Blue took four of the top seven spots, but it was the strong run of normal #7 man Branden Thompson who nailed down the victory.

• 5,000 Meter Run - Great race for Tiffany Tanner of Brunswick High School who won in 20:13.88 and next was Kelly Lynch of Mt. Ararat High School (20:21.27), Tessa Cassidy of Brunswick High School (20:48.15)

• 5,000 Meter Run - Justin Tracy of Mt. Blue High School got it done, winning in 16:49.67, a new SB with Sam Wood of Mt. Ararat High School in tow at 16:51.82. Next was Josh Horne of Mt. Blue High School in 17:07.01, Nathan Mackenzie of Mt. Ararat High School (17:17.32), Sully Jackson of Mt. Blue High School (17:26.79), Matt Gott of Mt. Ararat High School (17:45.74), Dan Lesko of Mt.
