It was a great 2012-2013 in both cross country and track across the Great State of Maine. Many of our seniors will soon be on their way to start their college careers both athletically and academically so we wanted to salute them one more time in this special feature.

With outdoor practice underway let's look at the top returners from each event from 2012.

The Maine Track and Cross Country Coaches Assocation Indoor Track & Field All-State team has been announced

Edward Little's Connor Harris the defending Class A indoor high jump champion had a big day as he cleared 6-6, to set a new state leading mark as well as a Red Eddies school record in the event. The clearance currenty has him in a tie for 7th in the country. Check out more action

State leading performances in the boys 200, 400 & 800m highlight the action as well as a new state leading performance in the girls two-mile,Triple Jump, 55m hurdles & 4x800m. Check out the complete details

Better late than ever, the Maine Track and Cross Country Coaches Assocation Indoor Track & Field All-State team has been announced

There were four new state leading performances on Saturday at a KVAC showdown between many of the top teams in the league. Randi London (Mt. Ararat) added almost 1 1/2 ft to her existing state leader when she set a personal best of 39-7 1/2. In the boys triple jump, sophomore Conor Harris (EL) had a huge hop skip and jump int he triple as he got it out to 43-11, over a foot better than the previous state leader. In the girls pole vault a matchup of the state's top two jumpers this winter Lindsey Folsom (Cony) and Jaclyn Masters (EL) was a good one, with Masters setting a new personal best and state leader by clearin 11-1. The hurdles almost produce a new state lead as Allison Hill (Brunswick) became first girl under 9.0, with her 8.91 clocking. RESULTS  CLICK headline to view more highlights

There were plenty of top performances in this week's KVAC indoor action. On the girls side there were 3 new state leading performances, while on the boys side there were 3 as well. The Brunswick girls continue to be impressive early this season as they took the girls meet scoring 158 points. Alexis Dickinson (Brunswick) sprints her way to a state leader in the 55m, 7.65. Lindsey Folsom (Cony) vaulting to new heights with her 10-6 state leading clearance. On the boys side, Lewiston earned the win scoring 162 to take down Brunswick who had 135.  Mike Slovenski continues to dominate the vault with his 14-8 clearance.  Click headline to view highlights Results  | Meet 2 Boys Results
