Maine Class B State Championship 2013

Bethanie Brown and Nick Danner turned in record-setting performances on a steamy Saturday to help the Purple Panthers sweep the Class B meet for the second time in three years. (via www.onlinesentinel.com)

The Waterville girls cruised to a 7th staright Class B titles, while the Boys win as well to make it a sweep. Kate Hall of Lake Region broke the state meet record in the 100m, 12.12, and added a state all time best in the long jump 18-5 3/4. Bethanie Brown in the 800m, 2:16. Dan Curts of Ellsworth broke the 1600m record, 4:14.02, Nick Danner of Waterville broke the javelin record with a heave of 192-9
