All eyes will be on Yarmouth senior Luke Laverdiere as he has chosen to just run the 2 mile at states this year. The defending Mile & 2 mile champion will be looking to chase the 9:15.5h state meet record of Bruce Bickford which was set way back in 1975. Laverdiere has run 45 seconds faster than second seed Luke Marsanskis of Greely. Luke is coming off a mile pr at the New Balance Indoor grand Prix where he clocked 4:17.55.
This could be a big point grab for the Rangers of Greely as they are seeded 2nd, 3rd & 8th.
A year ago Laverdiere took the top spot in 9:49.73, while Marsanskis earned a podium spot with his 5th place 10:55.33 effort.
