Top Returning Runners: (Based on 2023 Personal Bests)

2024 Outlook: 

With the top five returners expected back Marshwood was primed for a breakout season however some of their top returners (#2, #4, & #5) aren't running this fall so the Hawks will rely on new faces as they hope to maintain their forward momentum from a year ago. Junior Henri Rivard is one of the top runners in the state and he'll have his eyes on the top spot after finishing fourth a year ago. Marshwood's success will depend on how the younger athletes on the team step-up.

Coach Matt Sanzone Comments:

We had a good summer of training from our core group and most of our returners are coming into the season with a solid aerobic base. We lost a few key contributors to our team from last season - both due to graduating seniors and a few underclassmen who are taking this fall season off, but our early season goal is to advance to the state meet as a team. It will require some of our younger athletes to really step up. We have a few new faces, but this early in the season it is tough to gauge how impactful they will be. Freshman Tommie Mannion has looked solid in the early going.
