Rivard had a great finish to the 2023 XC season as he clocked a personal best of 16:14.83 to finish fourth at the Class A state meet. Rivard clocked personal bests of 4:28.65 for 1600m and 9:35.92 for 3200m during the outdoor season. Expect Henri to be one of the top runners in the state this fall, and look for him to contend for individual titles during the championship season.

Getting to Know Henri

How has your summer training gone? Approximately how many miles have you logged?

It's been very good, have been running right around 48 miles a week.

What are you looking forward to during the 2024 XC season?

Running and growing together as a team along with running competitively with the top runners in the state.

What are your goals for the season?

To work as hard as I can, both at practice and on my own time, to put myself in the best position to be successful at states. Along with running at states with my team.

Biggest takeaway from the 2023 XC Season?

Don't stress the results of early-season races.

What's the best piece of advice you've gained from your coaches?

To be patient throughout the season and have confidence in myself and my training.
