MRC Performance of the Week: Erzsebet Nagy & Josef Holt-Andrews

Maine Running Company Performances of the Week

Lawrence senior Erzsebet Nagy didn't have the start to the XC season she had hoped due to an injury that cost her important training time. The time off didn't seem to bother her when she opened up her 2012 xc season last week @ Medomak with a victory over defending Class B state champion Brittany Bowman. Nagy's time was an impressive 20:36 over 3.3 miles. Expect Erzsebet to get faster with added training, she let the rest of the state know she was back and better than ever with the best yet to come. Nagy recieved 24 of the 51 votes cast this week for 47.06%.

Telstar junior Josef Holt-Andrews made a statement with his 15:50 clocking for 5k last week @ Carrabec. Holt-Andrews improved his time from a year ago by over a minute on the same course. Last year saw the junior place 3rd in the Class C state meet, his time makes him one of the favorites to win the the individual title this year. Josef received 15 votes for 31.91% of the vote this week

Congratulations to both Erzsebet & Josef on being selected as the Maine Running Company Performance of the Week
