Junior Sam Wood of Mt Ararat was selected as this week's winner of the Maine Running Company "Performance of the Week" for his win at the Class A Eastern Maine Regional @ Belfast on 10/20. Wood covered the rain soaked course in 17:00, his winning margin was 4 seconds. The week before Wood placed 3rd in the KVAC Class A race. His best time on the season is a 16:51 for 5k.
For the 4th time this XC season Bethanie Brown has been chosen as the Maine Running Company "Performance of the Week". Brown ran a phenomal time of 18:46 to win the Class B Eastern Regional last week. Her time was 1:28 faster than the runner-up. Amazingly she would have finished top 10 in the boys race. Not only did Brown win the individual title she led her team to the Easten Maine Regional runner-up plaque.
