The North headed to Troy Howard Middle School in Belfast, while the South went to the Twinbrook Recreational area in Cumberland. Conference championships around the state highlighted the weekend in Maine XC. We had several of the top teams in the state battle it out at the KVAC Championships, while some of the top runners rested for the WMC Championships. KVAC Championship, Boys, Class A & B Benet Pols Oct 14, 2017

Hampden, led by Wyatt Lord, gets by Bangor in the KVAC Boys Class A Championship. Mt. Ararat is third,  but the Eagle's Lisandro Berry-Gaviria takes the individual title.In Class B, Lincoln Academy ran away with the title led by individual champion Sam Russ.

Mt Blue's Aaron Willingham sets a new course record at Cony winning the KVAC Championship Class A title, while Harrison Knowlton was the Class B champ. On the girls side Anne Guadalupi of Cony ran away witht girls Class A title, with Hannah Despres of Maranacook the victor in the Class B race.

Trapani & Brown capture KVAC titles Derek Veilleux Oct 13, 2012

Camden Hills Ben Trapani took the overlal KVAC title edging Christian Heath of Gardiner. Justin Tracy of Mt. Blue was the top Class A finisher in 3rd. On the girls side Bethanie Brown of Waterville ran 18:59 for the win, Erzsebet Nagy of Lawrence finished 2nd, and the top Class A finisher. Teamwise Lewiston boys dominated Class A, while Maranacook was tops in Class B. On the girls side Mt Ararat edged Brunswick for the Class A title, while Camden Hills put on a clinic to win the Class B race.

CAMDEN HILLS GIRLS/MARANACOOK BOYS TOPS IN KVAC B Brian Kelly Oct 16, 2011

  The Camden Hills girls took 3 of the first 5 places in roaring to a 40 point win in KVAC Class B cross-country action today.  Waterville edged Winslow 77-81 to take second place.    For the B boys, Maranacook placed all of their top 5 in the first 20 spots for a comfortable win.  Places 2-4 were taken by Medomak Valley, Lincoln Academy and Waterville.  A single point separated each team.    Waterville's Bethanie Brown captured the girls title followed by the Camden Hills duo of Brittany Bowman and Willow Parker.  On the boys side, Winslow's Nickolas Shuckrow took home the individual title followed by Maranacook's Kelby Mace and Ben Trapani of Camden Hills.

Maranacook Boys & Traip Academy Girls Prevail in Class C State Meet Derek Veilleux Jun 4, 2011

The Maranacook Boys prevailed in a close 3 way meet, the Black Bears scored 75, while state runner-up Orono scored 69, & last year's champions Sacopee Valley was a close 3rd with 68. On the girls side Traip Academy scored 79 to hold off John Bapst  who was a close 2nd with 76 & Sacopee Valley rounded out the top 3 with 52. More to come from Class C later check back soon.

The Lawrence girls & the Maranacook boys won KVAC meets @ Lawrence this afternoon. The 2 mile was the top event in the girls meet with 3 ladies under 12 minutes with newcomer Erzsebet Nagy (Lawrence) running 11:42.62 win over Brittany Bowman (CH) 11:49.30, & Abby Mace (Maranacook) 11:59.60. For Mace this was her first meet of the season after battling a knee injury this spring. On the boys side Evan Vincent (Maranacook) lowered his state leader in the 1600m RW to 6:48.58. Bowman and Hodgkins Win Again at Lincoln Academy Derek Veilleux Sep 24, 2010

Camden Hills freshman Brittany Bowman (pictured left-photo by flewphoto) and Erskine Academy junior Eben Hodgkins won races for the second Friday in a row, claiming the top positions at Lincoln Academy in Newcastle. After a day of showers, the normally tough course became muddy and slippery, as more than a few runners fell during the race.  Bowman, leading a young but competitive Camden Hills girl's team, took an early lead and held it throughout the race, finishing in 20:59.  Molly Schassberger, a sophomore at Winslow, placed second, leading her team to a narrow victory over Medomak Valley, 50-55.  Freshman Abby Hersom of Rockland, sophomore Caroline Colan of Maranacook, and Nora Willaver of the Watershed School rounded out the top five.  Sophomore Hanna Fake of Lincoln Academy was the first finisher for the host team, finishing 13th. Cape Elizabeth the defending champion returns 6 runners from their squad that dominated Class B last year. York, Freeport, and Fryeburg Academy all return strong teams this fall.
